The Central Hidroeléctrica da Fajã do Redondo (hydroelectric power plant) came into operation in 1927 at the service of the Ponta Delgada City Council and was intended to reinforce the electricity supply to the city of Ponta Delgada. Closed since 2004, the imposing masonry building is currently part of the museum circuit of the island of São Miguel.

Access to the Fajã Redonda hydroelectric power plant is via a pedestrian trail, in an environment of great natural beauty.

Founded in 2018 by Gregory Le Lay, BRUI gallery/workshop is an artistic space that hosts European artists for temporary exhibitions. The venue also offers workshops and initiations to printing techniques on paper, along with a shop featuring a selection of artist books, prints, graphezines, and unusual objects.

The Castelo Centro Cultural was born to showcase a private collection of art, serving since then as an exhibition space in the field of visual arts. With a covered area of 220 m2 and surrounding green spaces, it is designed for multifunctional use, able to host various exhibitions, lectures, colloquiums, performances, workshops, among other events.
