Once upon a time, there were two friends who only knew each other virtually. Coming all the way from Japan, Sally Sakurai and Zé Pereira, from Portugal, meet for the first time, blending reality and imagination into a single story! As a family, we will witness and take part in a cultural exchange between Japan and Portugal, presented in a fun and musical way. The great UMI—which means sea in Japanese—is both what separates and connects them, serving as the central theme for many of their shared experiences. UMI is a beautiful tribute to a commercial relationship that began across the sea between those two countries 480 years ago.
