The Ponto de Partida exhibition proposes a reflection on beginnings—not only as moments of departure but as spaces of possibility and transformation. Drawing from the collection of the Caloura Cultural Center, the exhibition explores memories, influences, and paths that shape artistic creation and are reflected in the displayed works.
Organized into three sections—The Island, Heritage, and Adrift—the exhibition traverses different points of origin. In the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity, the works reveal a territory where past and present converge, where insularity expands beyond its borders, and where creation reinvents itself with every journey.
By positioning itself as a starting point, this exhibition also creates space for continuity, emphasizing the ongoing process of transformation in art and society. In doing so, it invites the public to become part of this trajectory, encouraging new ways of seeing and thinking about the world.
