Oko Ebombo is a multifaceted artist whose work spans from music, to poetry, and performance art. Beyond his roles as a creative director, songwriter, producer, and dancer, Oko's journey has been one of resilience and creative expression. He began teaching dance in Paris at just twelve years old and, by sixteen, left home to tour internationally with renowned artists. For over three decades, he embraced a nomadic lifestyle, traveling the world and drawing profound inspiration from diverse communities. Despite the challenges he has faced, Oko has transformed his pain into a powerful source of artistic creation. Since the release of his debut EP Naked Life in 2016, Oko Ebombo has created music videos in locations as diverse as the Netherlands, Japan, Congo, Morocco, and his hometown of Paris, including striking visuals for tracks like Ordinary People and Nalingi Yo. On the cusp of his 40th birthday, he released his first full-length album, Free Emotion, a deeply personal exploration of nine themes central to his life: nativity, love, humanity, god, family, loyalty, immortality, pain, and friendship.
