Melrose comes from São Miguel Island. Her musical practice is based on writing and improvisation with the lyre and voice, seeking to express her subconscious world. She recently recorded her first studio EP, Almae Sirenes, an exploration of the folkloric figure of the siren, the quest to demystify womanhood, and the examination of patterns that the human condition compels us to repeat. Her Azorean roots and deep connection with nature shape the melodies in this transcendent and hypnotic record, blending folk elements with pop influences.

This performance is part of a partnership between Tremor and Vaivém, resulting in a series of showcases featuring artists who participated in their residency project.
