Brighton collective Lambrini Girls have been one of the busiest bands of the last year. Praised by Iggy Pop—who has indicated them as his new favourite band—Lambrini Girls make punk for what it is: a big kick in the door. With a desire to make punk a safe space for everyone, shouting head-on against gender prejudices, patriarchal privileges, and the culture of abuse that is still felt in the corridors of music, culture, and society in general. Their debut EP, “You’re Welcome”, brings us 15 minutes of fierce, biting and incendiary punk, with tracks like “Help Me I’m Gay”, “White Van”, and “Lads Lads Lads” setting up the pace.
