Born in 1992 in Ponta Delgada (Azores), Eugénia Contente discovered her passion for the guitar at the age of 9. She honed her skills at the Hot Clube de Portugal, drawing inspiration from funk, jazz, and fusion. Her creative drive to compose original music led to the formation of her own trio, culminating in the release of her debut album, Duckontente, in 2023. That same year, her track Django Avishained was featured in the New Talents Fnac compilation. Eugénia’s trio gained prominence as part of the resident band for the Portuguese TV show 5 para a Meia-Noite. Their single Rubber Duck earned her a nomination for the International Portuguese Music Awards in 2024, in the Instrumental Performance Category. As a versatile freelance musician, Eugénia collaborates with artists such as Ana Bacalhau, Bispo, Ivandro, Inês Monstro, Mila Dores, and Leo Middea.
