Large Capacity, Tremor's total capacity
There's a Portuguese hip hop scene before and after the appearance of Sam the Kid. MC, producer and avant-garde thinker, Sam the Kid is not only one of the two main precursors of the genre in this country, but also one of its most genuine and inventive voices. That being said, it is not surprising that, nowadays, he is an inspiration for the younger generations. Born in Chelas, he began his musical career in 1999 with “Entre (tanto)”. Since then, he has released more than five solo albums, having participated in an extensive list of national albums, either as a guest or as a producer. With a career particularly marked by a singular desire of sharing, this can be seen in projects that broaden the horizons of his artistic work. For example, the launch of TV Chelas—a free spirited digital platform where the words, the rhymes and the ideas give origin to diverse and original content—, and the energizing role he holds in Chelas é o Sítio, a non-profit association that brings together local residents with the objective of creating greater value for one of the largest areas in Lisbon.
At Tremor's invitation, Sam the Kid joins Rabo de Peixe Music School and a group of local musicians MCs and DJs - Cafaia, Dusk, itzjotap, Joana Pacheco, kyasutā, Lil kyra, Madruga, NicTobu, NTK, Oestrela, Outsidah, Valério, Joya Black and Bensky - to create a unique show that revolves around Azorean hip hop.
