After a five-year hiatus, 800 Gondomar returned in 2024 with São Gunão, the first chapter of a new phase for the band. In this new album, the Gondomar-based collective expands their sonic universe, refining their raw garage-punk sound through ventures into other corners of their musical spectrum and showcasing a more mature lyrical depth in their lyrics. All of this without compromising the band’s DNA: the sharpness with which they discuss the defining issues of our times—ranging from the housing crises to the dilemmas of digital society.
