Seventeen names complete the music lineup for the 2025 edition of Tremor, set to take place in São Miguel from April 8 to 12. This selection of artists focuses particularly on the recent production from the archipelago, reinforcing the festival’s role in creating new artistic ecosystems across the different islands.
Tremor also announces the release of 250 weekend passes, which will go on sale on February 20. These tickets grant access to the entire program on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, at Coliseu Micaelense and Portas do Mar. The 250 passes will be priced at €45.
In partnership with the artistic residency project of the community radio Vaivém, Tremor presents a showcase cycle aimed at highlighting emerging local talent. From the romanticism of singer-songwriter Canto to the utopian and electronic worlds of Flipping Candy, the island-rooted hip hop of Valério AZ and MA Ç ARICO, and the dreamy folk-pop of Melrose. A special highlight goes to the return of the collaboration between instrumentalist Rafael Carvalho (a major name in Viola da Terra) and electronic musician FLIP.
Exploring other soundscapes, confirmed performances include the Argentine experimental queer punk group Blanco Teta, the electronic rock of American band Kassie Krut, the dub-infused sounds of Exotic Gardens, and the Gen-Z rap of LaBlackie. The psychedelic duo Peaking Lights will guide this edition’s durational performance by the Açoriana Modular Orchestra.
As a result of the Faísca open call—designed to showcase new producers and musicians from the archipelago—Tremor will feature Tarina, a project by singer-songwriter Catarina Fernandes, who transforms life experiences into poetry and music, and Oboé com Asas, a project by Tiago Marques that blends the ethereal sound of the oboe with the freedom of experimental music.
In the clubbing programme, highlights include the return of DJ Gaivota & Colectivo Os Convidados with their Azorean music mashups, the debut of Zelecta’s genre-crossing music, and UK garage, drum’n’bass, jungle, and tech house sets from Lumina.
